Yorkshire Paramotors Flight Trianing & Instruction

About the Instructor
Mark Jenkinson (Marko) is the chief flying instructor(CFI) at Yorkshire Paramotors.
Marko has been flying paramotors for over 10 years and successfully training countless other pilots over the past 5 years from a private flying facility near York, North Yorkshire.

Marko is himself a highly skilful and active pilot. He is one of only 2 pilots in the world to have held a display authorisation certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) to perform paramotor air displays which included the authorisation to fly at night, fly over heavily populated event/festivals and also to drop articles from a paramotor in such circumstances. He is also BHPA Power Pilot Rated.
Marko is driven by safety. His experience in the field of performing at air displays has led to an extremely well thought out syllabus style training course for complete beginners right through to competent pilots wanting to improve their skills. The CAA are very fussy about how we describe our activites publicly so we'll tell you all the wild and incredible things we get upto when we meet for your training.

The Training
Basic training to take a complete novice with no piloting experience into someone who can indeed pilot their own paramotor takes approximately 5-7 days of training. Training days are flexible and don't have to be done together. Once of the biggest factors in when training can be given is the weather. With a run of good flying weather it is possible to do the training in week but with the UK as it is, it's more likely going to take a few short weeks to build up the skills to get off the ground safely.
The course is syllabus led so there is a structure to the training and one thing is learned before moving onto another. Once all the sections of training are complete and the student is competent and flying solo without any bad habits then let the fun times roll !

After Training
There are always other pilots on the field to help out with ground handling, advice on equipment and general paramotor chit-chat so there's a wealth of information to be gained from just para-waiting if the weather isn't perfect.
Once you're ready to fly-the-nest you will definitely be back to the field when you want to go flying with some other likeminded people. Whatever your flying style is, there's always someone who'll go out for a fly with you. Whether it's a cross country flight (XC), advanced piloting techniques training ,Acro practice or just some advice you're after there's always someone on hand to help.
